Q+A

Where is the ceremony?

The ceremony will take place at Christ Church Cathedral which is located in downtown Nashville at 900 Broadway.

How do I get to the ceremony?

Many of the hotel blocks we have chosen are within walking distance of the ceremony, however we have also arranged shuttles to take guests from the hotel blocks to the ceremony. The shuttle will load in at 3:45 PM at both the Noelle and AC Marriott and leave by 4:15 PM. If you are staying at the Hampton Inn, please walk across the street to the AC Marriott for shuttle pick up. There is a free parking lot next to the church, but spaces are limited, and you may not leave your car overnight.

Where is the reception?

The reception will take place at the First Learning Center Courtyard at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens which is located at 1200 Forrest Park Drive, Nashville TN, 37205. Please see below for a map of the property.

How do I get to and from the reception?

We have arranged shuttles to take guests from the ceremony to Cheekwood. You may also drive or Uber/Lyft. If you choose to drive, please make sure that your car is not left past 9 AM on Sunday, April 28th. Guests who choose to drive should park in Parking lot B. There will be shuttles to take guests from Cheekwood back to the hotel blocks at the end of the night. There will be an early shuttle at 9:45 PM and then a late shuttle at 11 PM.

Where should I stay?

We have arranged hotel blocks at 3 hotels within 1 mile of the ceremony: AC Hotel by Marriott, Hampton Inn & Suites and the Noelle. Please see the “Stay” tab for more details on reservations.

Can I bring a date?

Your official invitation will tell you if you have a +1. Although we wish that everyone could bring a date, we are limited by capacity.

Is the reception outdoors?

Yes, the reception will be outdoors. If it rains, there will be a tent covering the area.

What is the dress code?

Black-tie optional. Please don’t stress about your attire! We like to dress-up, but we want our guests to feel comfortable. The Frist Learning Center is a brick courtyard, so any footwear will work.

Are kids invited?

As much as we love your kiddos, we are only inviting the children of immediate family.

Are there any Friday evening events?

There will be rehearsal dinner for members of the wedding party and family only. This will be followed by welcome drinks for out-of-town guests. You will receive a separate invitation for this.

What is NMDP and why will there be a bone marrow drive at the wedding?

I’m so glad you asked! NMDP stands for the National Marrow Donor Program and it is a nonprofit organization that operates the Be The Match Registry of volunteer stem cell donors in the United States. Annie is a bone marrow transplant nurse practitioner and, thus, wholeheartedly supports their cause. To honor her patients, Annie and David are hosting a “swab drive” during cocktail hour at the reception to encourage eligible guests to join the registry. Please follow the link below to find out more information on NMDP’s mission and donor requirements.
